Valley Telecommunications Cooperative Assn., is a member owned telephone cooperative that provides state-of-the-art telecommunication services to (9) communities in North Central South Dakota including: 

Valley Telco is managed by a General Manager, and overseen by a board of 9 member-elected directors, including one from each telephone exchange. Valley Telco not only provides state-of-the-art telecommunication services, but also provides cable tv & Internet services via our wholly owned subsidiary Valley Cable & Satellite Communications.

Valley Telco is a member-owner of SDN Communications of Sioux Falls, SD, founded in 1989 by a group of SD independent telephone companies to provide our customers with a greater choice of long distance service provider. Through SDN, the possibility of becoming our own long distance provider was realized with the formation of "Express Communications" in 1992 - which our own customers recognize as Valley Long Distance (CIC 0865). 

Valley Telco is an active participant in the communities in which we serve: employing local people, providing a local number to call for customer needs - answered by a live person, and our employees are members of local organizations including: volunteer fire and ambulance departments, past city board members, church organizations, and more. 

Valley Telco is proud to be a member of The National Telecommunications Cooperative Assn  (NTCA), a non-profit association representing 545 small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies.  NTCA is a full-service association, offering a wide array of member services, including a highly effective government affairs program; expert legal and industry representation; a broad range of educational services; a comprehensive assortment of regular and special publications and public relations programs; and a well-rounded complement of national and regional meetings.
